As of version 1.5 Trials can only be completed in Normal Mode

Also note that to unlock following Trials, you must speak to the Old Man Ioners in town after successfully completing each Trial. To begin each Trial, you must find a stone monument on each non boss floor which will be isolated in a map with no enemies.

1st Trial[]

A standard platformer where dashes are available. No enemies present. Accessible by talking to a monument in the Icy Cave Zone.

Dashes have the unique property of stopping time during the dash, so useful to avoid projectile hazards.

Speak to the monument at the end of the map to complete the trial. Most likely acts as a reference to the platforming game- "celeste".

2nd Trial[]

A platformer where dashes are not available. The key here is to keep moving at a steady pace through hazards. Hesitation means more damage. Available in The Burning Kingdom.

Speak to the monument at the end of the map to complete the trial. With the flagpole, no dashing and focus on jumping, it acts as a reference to the Mario franchise.

3rd Trial[]

Available in The Calm Grasslands. A massive melee of swarms of enemies. Enemies will come in waves, with a total of 5 waves. Next waves will only spawn after all enemies on screen are defeated. Prioritize enemies that can shoot projectiles to kill. 2 weapons are available, a swordshort and shield and a longsword. Recommend staying in shortsword and shield form to take advantage of increased defense and block stats.

Once all enemies are slain, speak to the monument at the center of the map to complete the trial.

4th Trial[]

Available on The Lunar Desert. A shoot em up round. The player will have 360 degrees of movement and be equipped with a gun with unlimited ammo. Both projectiles and physical contact with enemies will cause damage. Once all enemies are slain, a monument will spawn at the very bottom of the map.

5th Trial[]

The 5th trial is a boss fight against Erta Ale. After defeating Envyrok (Little Devil Lord) in The Burning Kingdom goto the next room to the right. There will be an entrance downward before reaching the gate which takes the player to the next floor. Defeating the boss will allow the player to purchase a Hammer for 4,000 gold. The Hammer is neither a weapon or accessory. It acts as a key. After defeating Kaminela, remain in the dungeon. The entrance to the Final Boss Ericha is along the wall on the right.
